David John Brady

I’m a Leeds-based composer, producer and electronic musician offering audio production, creative composition, sound design and voice over work.

As a solo artist, I compose and perform ambient soundscapes designed to provoke a range of emotions – using organic sampling, processed field recordings, cassette loops and instrumental sequences to connect with audiences.

My solo work has received multiple plays on BBC Radio, and I perform regularly on the local music scene – often collaborating with other artists too.

My BSc in Music Technology and PGDip in Acoustics and Noise Control combine with a wealth of hands-on experience producing and mixing live bands, podcasts, video audio and commercial releases to give me a rounded expertise in all things sound.

I’ve played in several contemporary rock bands as a guitarist, bassist, keyboardist and vocalist – experience that gives me a profound understanding of the technical elements of music.

I’m a classically trained pianist too, which means my understanding of music theory, tonality and form is top notch, and I also offer voiceover and audiobook services.

Having worked in a number of industries over the years – from food and finance to project management and research – I’m highly organised, super-efficient and great at communicating.
