Jim Pilling
Jim is a director whose work with music artists and global brands takes an elegant approach to world-building, with layers of emotion wrapped up in his meticulously crafted films. This cinematic short-hand and pared-back style, along with Jim's emotional intelligence and a hint of wry humour, allow him to eke out beautifully honest performances in the stories he tells.
As well as directing, Jim ran a production company in London for 8 years where he partnered with brands, publishers and artists to build campaigns for audiences in fashion, music and sports. These include adidas, Paul Smith, Levis, Hypebeast, British Vogue, Sony and more. He now lives in York and is available for work across the UK and further afield.
